Throwaway books

What are the books we throwaway? What gets tossed? Airport reading is what I used to call it. Throwaway books, what are they?

I’ll be honest, I’ve only read two of the five top classics, while I’ve never attempted two of them, and I prefer to think I’m still in the middle of Ulysses.

    Throwaway books donated to the Salvation Army or the library are books I look at a week or two later and can’t remember much about them and feel absolutely no interest whatsoever in re-reading them. If they were on my Kindle, I’d delete them. Those are throwaway books.

    Also the ones so poorly written/edited that I can’t finish them.

    Plus just one book that I felt incorporated evil within its pages, about a woman who murdered her child to please her lover–I burned it.
