Toying with different price points, I’ve come to realize a couple of things about the business. I was prompted by The Brooks Review pricing, $4 per month or $40 per year, which is like two months free, paid in advance.
I’m $3.96 for a month or $45 per annum.
I was looking for a $19.95 option, but the best I could come up with was five months for that kind of price point, under $20, and at 6 months, it’s not a deal, not for me, then 6 months is less than a full year, at the current pricing structure.
As a spurious factor to weigh in with, at least three clients seem to feel I’m easily worth $20 per month.
I’ll admit to a tactical error, made in 2003, I opted for a cheap price instead of that $20 per month subscription rate. My mistake, as I’d have fewer numbers, but more surplus cash. Most of the sites I’ve seen go for the higher rates, and I suspect, fewer subscribers.
The avowed purpose of this web journal is a chance to wrestle my thoughts to words and pin those words on the page. Seeing this, like this, I think the best decision is to do nothing right now.
