Holidays

Holidays are over!
Here’s an idea, straight out of the South Austin trailer park:

There’s a school of design that holds Xmas lights are good, year round. Put them up, leave them up, no need to worry with taking them down and putting them up again. Perfect decorations for all seasons. Have to agree, in principle, as it’s a rule that I’ve eagerly followed.

Then there’s a second school of thought that holds sometime between NYE and some other, undefined date, although Epiphany and 12th Night come to mind, but still, at some point the lights have to be taken down, wound up, and put away.

There’s a new option, borrowed from a muse, but it’s a good way to repurpose those Xmas light. Let me spell it out:

Aliens Land HERE!!!

On the roof of a trailer. In South Austin. I’m waiting. Patiently.

Hot Kiss:
I was saving the image for Valentine’s Day, but I didn’t make it. There’s something about the color, against the texture of the pavement, and the frayed edges of the whatever-it-is piece of trash. Only it’s not.

It could all be my imagination. I’m guessing that the image is around two years old. Looks like a cold January morning, though. Gray skies. Cold weather.

The email finder site looks promising, but it costs $ (I tried looking for my own info). There don’t seem to be any free people finder sites any more.
