T-day

And so forth. Black Friday. Parents, families, friends.

When did it get permissible to camp out from Thanksgiving afternoon onward to get to Black Friday deals?

There was a line outside the (brand name big box store), folks sleeping in tents and stuff. On a night when Austin’s temperature hovered near freezing. I don’t get it.

Maybe I do. I stepped out into the madness to see about cashing in a gift certificate. Wandered into a big name box store. Looked at Bluetooth earpieces for phones, on sale, for Black Friday, for only $5.99. Too good to be true: while supplies last.

“We sold out before 10 this morning. Besides, they’re not any good, this one is better.”

Nice try.
