Shadow Shot Sunday

by El Muchacho Alegre on July 24, 2010

The image is taken from within Santa Fe’s International Museum of Folk Arts, up on Museum Hill. Spent part of a morning wandering there. Some good, some less than stellar, some that didn’t really grab me, then there was the “mexican” art.

This was part of a collection of wall hangings, the usual “Navajo Rug” kind of thing. But woven in the center, there’s a figure, and true to Sunday’s theme, a shadow.

I probably broke some rules, but I distinctly heard the guard say that, “photography – no flash – was OK.”

Outstanding. Beautiful. Glad you got the shot. What an imaginative artist/weaver.
