Accepted Birth Data for Mr. Presley: Jan. 8, 1935, 4:35 AM Tupelo, MS.

The King has a Sagittarius Ascendant, that can most easily be seen in his appearance which makes him seem much younger than he really is, with a few lines describing a certain quality, but still retaining that inherent Capricorn youthful good looks which is not an uncommon characteristic for the sign. And then there's his unmistakable voice, with a sensitive quality from the natal Pisces Moon in the chart.

A report just like this can be ordered, email for details — but since this is custom written, it ain't exactly cheap.

January: To start the year, and before the birthday times comes along, there are a couple of big influences to consider. The first is Pluto, having just crossed the King's Ascendant. This can either be a very empowering event, or it can completely devastate an individual. In the case of the King, and with his darling Capricorn ability to survive, the effect is empowering because it helps him deal with problems which have been dormant for a long time. Saturn and Jupiter are both retrograde at the beginning of the month, but those two gradually shift around by the end of the month. Both these guys are kicking around the King's 6th House when this occurs, the great turn around, but the real emphasis and implications of these two won't be felt until a little later. Suffice it to suggest that the King needs to look after some of his investments right now. Since he diversified his portfolio into some of the tech stocks, he's going to want to take a second look at this sector of the market. Perhaps more of his music will available online. Then again, maybe that isn't such a great idea. Time to consider business decisions like this. And while the Sun itself is in Capricorn, it is definitely time to let someone else do the driving as the King wold be more prone to little accidents -- it's a Capricorn thing, usually graceful, there is an increased chance for little mishaps.

February: Mercury is going to be Retrograde this month. Most of the month, in fact. It's a short month to begin with, so it feels like this is a month long ordeal. In fact, some signs more heavily associated with Mercury will just plain feel this all month long. For the King's chart, it's a close call. Mercury starts his retrograde pattern at the very beginning point of Pisces, at Zero Degrees of Pisces. Mercury saunters up to the entrance of Pisces, pauses, then slowly recedes back into Aquarius, playing havoc with all the air signs. And since Mr. Mercury doesn't get right again until the last few days on the month, this is going to have a strong impact on several things. Let's look at the King's Moon, for starters -- in Pisces, really close to the beginning. We like to call this "Mom Stuff." Since that doesn't actually apply, perhaps it's some of the stronger females in the King's life. And with Mercury retrograde, we'd want to watch for ex-wives making a big deal out of something. Another baby scare? Another love child, claiming rights as an heir to the King's rights? That's quite possible. Mercury is responsible for little tricks like that. Having Valentine's Day in the middle of Mr. Mercury doing his Retrograde Thing is some sort of cruel hoax perpetrated by the Universe. The best course of action is to be prepared for the old flames to come back, and be prepared for some raging inferno on the barbecue pit of love. Brings new meaning to the term, "Love Me Tender."

March: There's about a two week period when everything is okay. No sooner does the King start picking up the pieces shattered by the Mercury Retrograde period, and no sooner does Mercury get back to where he started this mess, than Miss Venus ("Hey buddy, that's 'Ms. Venus' to you!") start her Retrograde pattern for this year. Go back and look at last year because it was unusual in that this never occurred last year. It usually happens once a year. This one is going to be hard one because Miss Venus is in Aries, a Cardinal Fire Sign, and that's going to pretty firmly square some of the King's Capricorn stuff. In fact, Venus starts her Retrograde right at a point 90 degrees from the King's Sun. Not a happy place. And once she is firmly going backwards for the next six weeks, new romance has to be put on hold. It doesn't have to be put off, but it's good idea to thoughtfully consider actions dealing with the romance section of the King's life. Besides just starting at a pejorative angle to the King's Sun, the Venus pattern traipses backwards through the 4th House. Once again, this is about the strong women in his life -- the support he gets these days from friends and family, so to speak. Of course, the King's extended family stretches across continents and oceans, literally spanning the globe. Makes it hard to hide out sometimes. Like this month. And finally, Pluto will spin his merry self backwards, too. That's going to add a little pressure, later on.

April: The early part of April is none too happy, at first. It's as if there was an impatient April Fool joke, and it will feel like this joke lasts all month long. At least, as long as the Sun is in Aries, and Miss Venus is still backwards, the joke has a certain unpleasantness to it. "Don't be cruel," comes to mind, a lyrical refrain which would be good for all of us to take to heart, "Baby it's just you I'm think of." However, there is a change, late in the month because Jupiter gets geared up and running hard towards 7th House, the Descendant, the line in chart which is usually the demarcation point for relationship. This is a hint about relationships, and it gives an ideal scenario for marriage. The wedding? That would be about the time Jupiter hits his 7th House. Then, in a few months, along comes Saturn, and he inserts some reality into the happy nuptials, a dose of the real world. But that's several months away. In the King's chart, though, a new partnership likely to be forged at this time. It would include some nice, money making opportunities, too. With the Sun moving into his 5th House, this is especially nice for artistic endeavors along many different lines. Perhaps it's time to release some material which has never seen the light of day before. Be prepared for some old tapes from Sun Records? Maybe something which is buried in an archive, that finally surfaces.

May: The month starts with very high hopes. In fact, expectations might be a little on the unreasonable side, as Mars is in Sagittarius, not his most favorite place, but not a bad place to be. The problem with Mr. Mars, sometime referred to in classic literature as the "God of War," the problem here is that Mars is slowing to crawl, then finally coming to a stop. And this is in the King's First House. Tough call. It means everything seems to come to screeching a halt. Better yet, this is like watching one of the old movies, a movie where the tires squeal -- even though the road is gravel. Anybody who lives in a trailer park with a gravel driveway knows that tires don't actually squeal on gravel. So there's Mars, making his noises, as he slows down, but it's more a crunching sound. "They said you was high class, that was just a lie, you ain't never caught rabbit, you ain't no friend of mine...." The King will be feeling a lot like a Hound Dog before the end of the month, that's for sure. This Mars going backwards thing is about 9 weeks of going over old ground. Between the Jupiter oppose Pluto thing, which occurs right on the Ascendant/Descendant axis in the King's chart, and Mr. Mars untimely pattern, appearances to the world come under close scrutiny, as do intimate relationships. What matters, though is doing the best not become the aforementioned hound dog.

June: It's not bad enough that Mars is retrograde, but Mercury spends the larger portion of this month, retrograde as well, exacerbated by doing so in Gemini. To make this even worse for the King, this is the Descendant in his chart. Relationships, partnership, alliances with others -- time to revisit some of the old contracts. Exhume the Colonel and take a look at some of the things written into the old contracts. See if there isn't something which can be addressed about the copyrights on various songs and recordings. Then, the romance question of partnerships, that comes up, too. The new ideas, brought in by the Jupiter influence, maybe some of these aren't paying off as quickly as thought. Projections might have been a little optimistic. Maybe go back and reconsider what has happened. With the planets going backwards, consider re-evaluating some of the earlier business projections. Perhaps, especially with the strong 7th House influence from this month, maybe the projections for what other folks said they could do, and what they are actually able to do, maybe it's time to reconsider an alliance. Don't throw it all away, but check the facts a second time before moving forward. Maybe get a second -- or third -- opinion before trying to make progress. That progress is going to feel like it's hitting major obstacles. Nothing which can't be overcome, and this is where the Capricorn plodding, methodical manner seems to help.

July: Mars spends a large portion of this month, vacillating between a just a few degrees of the zodiac, back and then forth, in Sagittarius. It does get turned around, but it's far from being out of the problem area. However, towards the end of the month, there will be some reconcilliations, of some sort. "Come back baby, I want to play house with you..." is an old lyric which might apply best, especially towards the end of the month as contrition gets more pronounced. There's also two partial eclipses in Cancer, one at the beginning, actually, last month, and then one in the early part of July. These eclipses are part of a pattern set up last year. And they do continue on through the end of this year, when, just as the Sun enters Capricorn, in December, finally gets resolved. So thinking about to set up house, a new place for the King to play, a retirement home of some sort, an exclusive retreat, far from the maddening crowds and prying tabloid photographers, that's a good idea, especially after the near miss with fame again as Mars was digging up old stuff. The eclipse pattern is part of an 18 month cycle which has a strong affect on the Cancer/Capricorn sections of the sky. It can be upsetting, or it can be a situation where some one else's fame seems to occlude the King's. It's like another tribute album which outsells the original by a mile. Jupiter crosses into Cancer, during this month, and that's a planet which will bare other problems, and help, along its way.

August: August sees one pretty important transit in the King's chart, Saturn goes into his 7th House. When Saturn brings his sorry self into this section of chart, there is a sobering, almost wet blanket approach to relationship. To be sure, in some circles, I'm sure of this, a wet blanket might be considered an erotic device, but that's not the sense here. Now, the King does have Capricorn Sun, so it's a hard transit to interpret as Saturn in the ruler of the King's sign. Still, there's more than a hint that this is the time to sit up and take stock of relationships. What's right, what's wrong, what works, what doesn't work, and what can be done about the problems. Address those difficulties. Since Jupiter crossed into the 7th, it's been a fun time, like a honeymoon, or even like a second honeymoon. But now that Saturn's here, there's that little voice in the back of the King's brain, a little voice which is pointing out problems, difficulties, and issues which have been ignored until now. Suddenly, it's like someone switched a light on, and there's a room full of minor, annoying, little problems which have to be addressed. Even the best of relationships suffer at a time like this. While he was once a "hunk a hunk of burning love," that love has cooled now, and the effect of Saturn reduces the passion. As Saturn opposes Pluto at this time, as well, there's always a chance that a small problem can get inflated into a really big problem. Caution is advised, like a good karate sparring match, the King needs to keep his eye on the eyes of his partner, not pandering to the audience at a time like this. This month is little bit of trial. If he's done his homework, though, and like most good Capricorn's, I'm sure he has, then this transit will eventually lead to success.

September: This month begins with Virgo and ends with Libra, but most of the time, the sun is in Virgo. that's usually a good time for the Capricorn section of the sky, and in the King's case, it's doubly good. Saturn moves out of range of his 7th House line, still there, but not as close, and the Sun makes a wonderful angle to his Sun, in addition to crossing the highest point of his chart. There's a sense, a feeling that things are finally starting to wrap up in a good way. Some of the toils and troubles as of late are gradually receding, like a flood water which is finally going back down to a more normal level. There's a tenderness back for the relationship arena, and there's less chance to be a hound dog at this time. The King is certainly in good standing right now, as a number of areas seem to be coming together. During the last few days of the month, Saturn starts its annual backward trek, and that's not altogether a bad thing. First off, Saturn does this towards the end of the month, and barely moves, and secondly, even though it's the King's sign's ruling planet, it is still in a sign which is good -- here's the hint: the natal Saturn is in Aquarius, and Saturn by transit is in Gemini, both compatible air signs. It would be a bit of a stretch, but not too much of one, to suggest that an air sign has something to do with the romantic interlude this year.

October: Jupiter is a big planet, as planets go. It rules both Sagittarius, and the King's Ascendant. As such, it's a rather important player this month. Jupiter gets close to halfway point in Cancer, almost cutting Cancer in two. And while Jupiter doesn't actually go backwards, he does slow down, at that point, almost opposite the King's natal sun. There's a unique sense of frustration which occurs at this time, a sense that everything is going to be okay, a pervasive sense of luck and well-being, while, at the same time, adding some small degree of consternation to the King's already hectic schedule. It ain't easy being dead, you know. There's also a nasty little Mercury Retrograde this month, from the beginning of the month to the middle of the month, covering most of the last half of Libra. This means the Mercury Retrograde will square the King's Sun and Jupiter. This hits the King in the 7th, 10th and 2nd Houses. That means he's risking being exhumed or worse yet, discovered by an old girlfriend, one who promised to keep quiet, but that same girlfriend finds the allure -- and the price tag -- of a tabloid almost too good to resist. If this were set in motion in the first part of the month, then the idea is certainly doomed, as are most things which start under a Mercury Retrograde, and if this is set in motion in the latter part of the month, then it works a little bit better, but it is still not a good idea. By the end of the month, there's a photo finish scenario, with something coming in at the 11th hour to save the day. Look for that lucky break, in the unlikeliest of place, to happen at the end of the month. There's some tension in the chart at this point, but it's a really benign form of tension, something that might really be for the best.

November: "The Memphis Flash" might feel a little bit like a flash bulb which fails to go off at the right time, especially once Jupiter gets started on his annual retrograde pattern. It happens at the beginning of the month, and Jupiter seems to slow everything down. To make this felt even more, remember that the King's Sagittarius Ascendant is ruled by Jupiter. And even though Jupiter gets into the King's [Koch House System] 8th House, it doesn't quite have the momentum to achieve the good stuff usually associated with this transit -- at least not yet. As long as you're willing to look ahead, you'll know that this planet will be back, and it will be in strength -- next spring sometime. In the meantime, it's just building a foundation, then tearing it down, then rebuilding this foundation, as a chance to see what will come. It does portend good fortune -- but the problem -- the big problem -- is that this is going to take a little while. Even more fortunate for the King, what with his Archer Ascendant, he can take the long range view, a chance to see that -- eventually -- there will some serious new money floating in his way.

December: "I heard the news, there's good rocking tonight...." is the best way to look at December for the King. Two things are worthy of note. The first is the sun is getting close to his Ascendant at the beginning of the month, crossing it during the first full week. That's more like a birthday celebration than anything else, and it's the best possible time because the Sun likes the 1st House. Popularity skyrockets. Sales go through the roof. Attention, desirable attention, not muck racking reporters sorting through dust bins, desirable media attention happens. The other thing is Capricorn will start late this month. Once again, that's good for the King. There's a troublesome round with MArs, but that's only for a the briefest of days as it slides into Pisces, and stirs up a little trouble when Mars is conjunct the King's Pisces Moon. Other than that little spot of trouble, it's a good month to enjoy himself. The last half of the month is marked by a series of eclipses. One is a new pattern, happening in Sagittarius, again, affecting the Ascendant, and the second eclipse, almost at the end of the month, is the last of the Cancer/Capricorn guys for a while. It merely brings a close to one chapter in the emotional life of the King. One issue gets reconciled, and seeing as how there's all this good stuff, after the little bump from Mars, the suggestion is that this is happy resolution, right after the big December 25th Holiday.
